Throughout the project, partners organized exhibitions highlighting the work of women composers. The aim being to give them broader visibility in the public sphere.
"O fabricar da Música e do Silêncio Compositoras Portuguesas do Século XX"
Universidade do Minho, Portugal
Created specifically for the project at the initiative of Portugal in the University of Minho, the exhibition was first open to students and public. It’s now a traveling exhibition across Portugal.
"Megaron"
Athens Concert Hall, Greece
Created for the MBB project, this exhibition focused on the history of Greek female composers and featured a large number of valuable archives including scores, letters, and photographs, enriched with digital media.
“Femmes et musique : réécrire une nouvelle histoire” (Women and Music: Rewriting a New History) Conservatoire Pierre Barbizet, France
The exhibition Women and Music: Rewriting a New History, dedicated to European women composers, was first presented at the Pierre Barbizet Conservatory in Marseille. Largely inspired by encounters sparked by the Musical Bounce Back project, it aims to highlight female creators of both past and present, (re)discovered throughout this Euro-Mediterranean journey. Video testimonials showcasing the impact of the MBB project on musicians were projected.
